The XXIV IUFRO World Congress will bring together scientists from the many disciplines that focus on forests, natural resources, and people. This
Congress, titled “Sustaining Forests, Sustaining People: The Role of Research,” will be unique and exciting. The scientific program of the Congress
is robust, innovative, and diverse. Pre-Congress tours will be offered in other parts of the U.S., showcasing science and forest management while
highlighting America’s culture and iconic landscapes. Salt Lake City is situated in a unique and spectacular landscape in the American West and
the Salt Palace Convention Center is a silver level LEED-certified sustainable facility. The Congress will offer exceptional keynote speakers, over
150 technical sessions for sharing the latest science and expanding your knowledge, a trade exposition characterized by innovation, and plenty
of networking opportunities. As part of the program, delegates will visit field sites that illustrate how managers of National Forests, tribal, federal,
state, and private lands are using science to improve resource management.
