The Directorate General for Energy of the European Commission is pleased to invite you to the 6th International Conference on Lignocellulosic Ethanol (6ICLE) which will bring together the world’s experts in lignocellulosic ethanol, biomass pretreatment, enzyme & yeast development, upgrading to biochemicals and the latest update to the flagship commercial and demonstration plants in this exciting area. The recast of the Renewable Energy Directive with the Winter Package of last November will be central in the discussions.

Thomas Schroeder, Vice President for Biorefining, Novozymes, and Kyriakos Maniatis will be the Conference Co-Chairs. Building off the success of past conferences, 6ICLE is anticipated to attract more than 200 policymakers, technology developers, financiers, researchers, scientists, engineers from around the globe for 2 days of intensive programme.
