iSGA-4 4th International Symposium on Gasification and its Applications

The 4rd International Symposium on Gasification and its Applications (iSGA-4) in Vienna, Austria, will continue the process of the successful launched event series, started by the earlier iSGA conferences held in Shanghai, China in 2008, Kyushu, Japan in 2010 and Vancouver, Canada in 2012. The Symposium will cover the entire field related to science, technology and policy of gasification of coal, biomass and other carbonaceous feedstock’s, as well as applications to power+generation, production of liquid fuels, and related topics.
Due to the fact, that the organizing group at Vienna University of Technology has a special research focus in dual fluidized bed fundamentals and its applications in the area of Biomass Gasification and sub-sequential heat, power and fuel generation, as well as the production of other chemicals out of the producer gas, as well as Chemical Looping Combustion, a special focus will be put on these topics from research to industrial scale.

The three-day program of the conference includes:

• Overview lectures describing the state-of-the-art in different technologies
• Oral presentations on research, development and demonstration projects
• Poster presentations on research, development and demonstration projects
• excursions to demonstration plants – optionally on the fourth day
