SABIA National Biogas Conference 2021
SABIA and IEA Bioenergy Task 36 are pleased to invite you to the 1st event of the 5th SABIA National Biogas conference. The 2021 conference will be a free online event in the form of three separate live webinars:
- 1st event 14:00 – 16:00 (GMT +2) on the 10th of June 2021: “Transitioning towards a decarbonised circular economy – Focus on Waste to Energy”, in collaboration with Task 36 IEA Bioenergy
- 2nd event on the 14 & 15th July: “Biogas Financial risk mitigation”
- 3rd event 14:00 – 16:00 (GMT +2) on the 3rd August: “Advancing biogas in the municipal strategic roadmap: pathways to 2030”
EVENT 1
The theme for the first event is “Transitioning towards a decarbonised circular economy – Focus on Waste to Energy”. The event will focus on the advances in the biogas industry and how to incentivise the integration of bioenergy technologies.
The Conference will feature highly experienced speakers from South Africa and bioenergy experts from around the world, including: Beau Hoffman (Dept. of Energy, USA), Daniel Roberts (CSIRO, Australia), Cristina Trois (SARCHI Chair Waste and Climate Change, South Africa) and Inge Johansson (Leader of IEA Bioenergy Task 36, Sweden).
