9:00-9:15                Welcome and introduction. Background to the workshop and aim of the day

9:15-10:00              Keynote presentation – Berend Vreugdenhil, TNO. Current technology status for advanced applications

10:00- 12:00          Session 1. Technical learnings

This session focuses on learnings from technical operations, successes, failures and remaining challenges like upscaling, fuel feeding etc. Three presentations from EU, UK and North America will be given followed by group discussions.

13:00-14:45           Session 2. Finance and market issues

This session focuses on economic learnings and challenges for FOAK-plants. Are there any common economic factors which have undermined commercial operation and deployment of the technology into further plants? Importance of other factors like customer relations, securing offtake and supply agreements, other stakeholders?  Three presentations from EU, UK and North America will be given followed by group discussions.

This session focuses on needs of policies and regulations to break the deadlock – Economic incentives, risk mitigation etc. Three presentations from EU, UK and North America will be given followed by group discussions.

The workshop is free of charge and will be held in the city center of Luleå in Vetenskapens Hus (Vetenskapens hus | Luleå tekniska universitet)

Study visits June 4th

On the 4th of June we arrange a full-day program with visits at Sunpine https://www.sunpine.se/en/ and LTU Green Fuels in Piteå (https://www.ltu.se/en/about-the-university/organisation/department-of-engineering-sciences-and-mathematics/ltu-green-fuels). On the way back to Luleå in the afternoon, the bus will stop at Luleå Airport approx. at 16.00 (making it possible to fly to Stockholm with SAS 17:30 or Norwegian 19:35).
