IEA Bioenergy Preannouncement: Call for Tender

The Executive Committee (ExCo) of the IEA Bioenergy Technology Collaboration Programme (IEA Bioenergy TCP – https://www.ieabioenergy.com/) is considering carrying out an overhaul of the 2009 bioenergy report ‘Bioenergy – a sustainable and reliable energy source: A review of status and prospects’ (https://www.ieabioenergy.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/MAIN-REPORT-Bioenergy-a-sustainable-and-reliable-energy-source.-A-review-of-status-and-prospects.pdf). Subject to ExCo approval, an open Call for Tender from well qualified contractors will be launched in early April 2021 with a short time frame for submission. The project, which will include working closely with and building on the expertise within the IEA Bioenergy Tasks (https://www.ieabioenergy.com/our-work-tasks/), will place the transformation of bioenergy towards a future sustainable use at its centre. While primarily directed at policy and decision makers, the deliverable will also be an authoritative reference for a broad stakeholder audience.
