WS22: The role of industrial biorefineries in a low carbon economy

A workshop in collaboration with the IEA IETS TCP was held in conjunction with ExCo79 in Gothenburg, Sweden on the 16^th May 2017. With more than 60 participants, the theme of the workshop was The role of industrial biorefineries in a low carbon economy. There were two plenary sessions during which eight invited speakers gave presentations interposed with two interactive discussion sessions as follows:

• Biorefinery developments – plenary presentations
• Interactive workshop on strategic biorefinery developments
• How to overcome deployment barriers for bioreineries
• Interactive workshop on deployment barriers and actions

The workshop concluded with a short summary and conclusions.
