ETA-Florence to coordinate communication strategy for IEA Bioenergy

ETA-Florence Renewable Energies has been selected by the IEA Bioenergy Technology Collaboration Programme (TCP), a global network that focuses on research and deployment of bioenergy, established by the International Energy Agency (IEA), to deliver its communication activities.

ETA-Florence is proud to collaborate with IEA Bioenergy to raise the profile of the bioenergy sector globally, by driving higher levels of engagement and relevance with stakeholders, especially policymakers and media outlets and by delivering an effective communication strategy to enable change and uptake of bioenergy at commercialisation and market deployment levels.

Angela Grassi, Managing Director at ETA-Florence Renewable Energies, remarked, “We are very delighted to have been selected to support IEA Bioenergy on its mission. We will bring our expertise in communication and dissemination activities to keep increasing global awareness on sustainable bioenergy.

Jim Spaeth, Chair of the IEA Bioenergy TCP commented that “Bioenergy and the bioeconomy are near term opportunities that can play a highly impactful role in the transition to clean energy in the power, heat, and transport sectors. We need to foster and share bioenergy’s positive contributions to climate impact mitigation and sustainable development, and look forward to teaming up with ETA Florence to help spread these messages”.

ETA-Florence has taken part in over 300 projects (at local / national / EU level / global) and organized more than 200 international events worldwide.

The IEA Bioenergy Technology Collaboration Programme (IEA Bioenergy TCP) is an organisation set up in 1978 with the aim of improving cooperation and information exchange between countries that have national programmes in bioenergy research, development and deployment. IEA Bioenergy is organised under the auspices of the International Energy Agency (IEA) but is functionally and legally autonomous.
