Global Wood Pellet Industry and Trade Study 2017

This IEA Bioenergy Task 40 report provides an inventory of the wood pellet industries and markets in more than 30 countries with regard to regulatory frameworks, production capacities, consumption and price trends, trade, logistics and country specific standardisation aspects. The inventory not only summarizes material flows and prices but also provides insights into the heterogeneity of the pellet market development in the different countries, which are driven by different energy supply infrastructures and market setup, as well as the expression of the wood processing industry and national policies for climate emissions reduction and resource exploitation.
