This workshop was held in conjunction with ExCo66 in York, UK on 12 October 2010. At the workshop presentations were given by seven invited speakers and consisted of five sessions as follows:

Session 3 – Gasification
Session 4 – Torrefaction
Session 5 – Environmental best options
