Advanced thermal conversion of waste attracts growing interest. The main reasons are increased perception of greenhouse gas emissions and environmental pollution resulting from untreated waste. As an alternative to waste incineration, conversion options such as waste pyrolysis, waste gasification, and co-processing of biomass and waste aim at the production of energy carriers such as liquid fuels and higher value chemicals. By this, these waste options contribute to the climate and environmental goals. This webinar examines the progress in the application of these technologies, the challenges that are being faced and the status of the technologies.
